It’s part three of the India Diaries and in this episode we are taking a vacation from our little Indian town. Our first weekend trip is to the most southern tip of India, then we head to India’s communist state – Kovalam. Along the way we meet an adorable kid on the bus, ‘chill’ on the beach and attempt to make some grilled cheese sandwiches for our host family.
Enjoy!

Hey Brock – any chance you can shed a little light on the host family? Was this through Couch Surfing, or how did you come across this uber-generous family?
Thanks for the info!
Really enjoyed this entry Brock! That sunset!!! Beautiful!! You can make me a grilled cheese sandwich anytime!!! Miss and Love You!!
Just an FYI for other viewers: that statue in Kanyakumari in the ocean was rocked by the massive tsunami. Locals say that one huge wave actually reached up to the shoulders of the statue, but it managed to stay in-tact.
Thanks Brook your site rocks.. I will be following you my friend…
@Skott & Shawna – It was actually through an organization. I sent you an email with more details.
@Shelly – We really didn’t think the sunset would happen, such a relief. I promise a grilled cheese would not be as gross as those ones.
@Darren – I forgot to mention that! Thanks D.
@HikeAlabama – Thanks. Say hello anytime.
