No matter how or where you are traveling, you will probably spend some time waiting for your train or your connection in an airport. For some people, this can be boring and annoying. But for others, like myself, this is a fantastic opportunity to either catch up on some things or get creative with the situation.
So whether you are waiting for a bus, a train or a plane – here are 5 ways to preoccupy yourself and help the time go by a little bit faster.
What do you do to pass the time?

I love it…I am all about people watching too!!!
I was in New Zealand people watching in a park and after about 15 minutes I realized that a older gentleman sitting on a park bench was watching ME!! He was doing the same thing…We had a laugh over it!
People are so fascinating to watch. It is something I do often even when I am busy site-seeing.
Also to pass time, I like to read up on the place I am headed to ~ read books, “my own notes”, travel brochures, or use the computer if possible, that way I have an idea of what I want to do when I get there ~ and yes, know all kinds of historical facts etc, and maybe I can share this info with other travelers.
Even striking up conversations with complete strangers while waiting can be so interesting and enjoyable.
UMMM I BELIEVE IT’S CALLED OGGLING?!?!?!?!!?
@Leigh-Ann – HA! Perfect. I have been caught a few times but generally because the other person was doing the exact same thing. Always a good laugh.
@Teresa – Love talking with randoms. Sometimes I have to actively not let it happen. And yes, your notes were fantastic and very helpful. I also like to read up on my guidebook for my next place and highlight a few things.
@Jaclyn – Potato, PatAto.
