The Friday Five – Tips for Being in Transit

Whether it’s by bus, train, car, plane, boat…you get the idea…being in transit is not always the funnest part of your trip. This week on the Friday Five, I’ve got a few tips for making your journeys a little bit easier and efficient.

    Another quick tip: consider bringing inflatable things that can make the journey more comfortable – things like a wrap-around neck pillow, seat cushion and/or lumbar support (depending upon which parts of your body get sore). Even the inflatable ones take up room when deflated, but the extra comfort can make a very long ride more tolerable.

    Oh, and where possible, get up and move around. Stand and stretch. There are even simple exercises you can do (without looking too silly). Sitting too long in the same position can cause blood clots.
