The Backpack With Brock Foodbyte – Peru Edition

During my visit to Lima, Peru I had the chance to try some Peruvian specialities.

My friend’s Alejandro & Heather took me out for an interesting meal to try cow’s heart and stomach.

Though I can’t say they were my favourite foods in Peru, certainly give them a try when you are visiting the country!

    I think there’s a problem with the embedded video, but clicking through to You Tube works.

    I would have guessed that heart would taste OK. After all, steak is muscle and the heart is made of muscle.

    Stomach linings and other organ meats – no way!

    Looks like you can “stomach” this meal more than parts of the Cobra.
    Your Gramma use to make stuffed cow heart, it wasn’t my favorite thing.
    Don’t think that would be a meal I’d order if I ever got to Peru.
    You are definitely becoming more daring in the food you eat.

    Maybe the problem was that you had it in a restaurant, you should be eating the anticuchos in the street on a stick! So delicious.
