Take Off – Spectacular Time Lapse Photo of Planes Taking Off

Take Off

What an image!

I originally saw this photo when it was shared on the Facebook page of Francesco Mugnai.

My jaw dropped. A sort of time lapse, this piece is blows my mind if only for it’s ability to show how busy an airport is.

It seemed like a good follow up to the video of planes taking off at Toronto Pearson International Airport I shared with you the other day.

After spotting the photo on Mugnai’s page, I shared it over on the Backpack With Brock Facebook page but for those of you who don’t have Facebook or have yet to like my page (you can change that by clicking here) I wanted to make sure you too got to experience this glorious shot.

I personally am so mesmerized by airports and this is a shining example why.

But I couldn’t simply ‘enjoy’ the photo. I needed to know more about it. After doing some fishing around I discovered the image was created by Ho-Yeol Ryu in 2005 at Hanover airport.

Someday, when I have a big enough place, I think I would track down this print and buy a copy. Just think of all the people inside all those planes and the places they are going.

Wow!

Do you like the photo?
How do you feel about airports?
