I have been on a lot of buses but I’ve never seen anything like that one you were on in Thailand…tucked into a mini-“room” in the bottom of a bus?! That’s kinda nuts!

Cows on the road? That must have taken you back to your childhood! Im sure you spent many an evening chasing down the cows that got out of the fields 🙂 I know I did!

@Stefan – Oh yes, the $3 bribe. I got to the border and it was $20 US for the visa. Then the police officer asks for 100 Baht ($3ish) which I did not have to pay but I was so tired I did not feel like fighting it so I coughed it up. It’s not a ton of money but its the concept of it all that is pathetic.

@Darren – Nuts is right. The added bonus you do not see is the yelling bus driver screaming that if we did not want to sit in there, we would wait for the next bus. Oh Thailand.

@Ian – Chasing cows. Yes, what a memory. Seeing this cows took me way back, but also makes me realize we had a pretty good system. These cows are just all over the place. I wonder how everyone knows whose is whose.

hahaha ! i did this trek before…it is awful. really. really painful and motion sicky. bleh. it felt like a smuggling experience. HAHAHA
