Well, folks – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Your day to drink glass after glass of green beer (alcoholic or not) has at long last come again.
Yesterday I shared with you my 9 best photos of Ireland, and today, continuing the Irish theme, I’d like to bring together my videos of Ireland in one post.
Grab a beer, sit back and give these videos a watch!
Cork, Ireland – Kissing the Blarney Stone
My first stop off in Ireland, Cork was where I got my feet wet with the Irish cheer. While my hostel was the pits, I met some lovely folk in a pub and shared many a laugh when I visited Blarney to kiss The Blarney Stone. The Brazilian and myself laughed and laughed at the hilairty of the Irish woman the tow Icelandic girls were staying.
Fortunately this video captures some of her natural, home grown comedy.
Killarney, Ireland – Green! Green! Green!
My memories of Killarney, as the title leads one to believe, is how much GREEN there was. There is a lot of nature if you head into Killarney National Park. This video takes you through my afternoon walking through the beautiful forest.
While I took the train around Ireland, I think having your wheels, especially in a place like Killarney, would me marvelous.
Dublin, Ireland – Pubs and Irish Jigs
Oh Dublin, how fun you were. On top of meeting some fantastic folks in my hostel, I also randomly bumped into the Icelandic gals I had met a few day earlier in Cork! Together we hit the Temple Bar to dance to some Irish jigs played on fiddles and the like.
We closed the place down after a couple pints of Guinness.. My image of what Ireland represents and is all about was happily reaffirmed.
This video brings a smile to my face every time.

Foodbyte – Ireland Edition
Well there may be some who disagree with my choice of Irish food to feature in this Foodbyte, I stand by my decision. Anyone who’s had a Guinness knows, it is a meal!
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Vang Vieng, Laos
Two years ago, I had the pleasure of being in Laos on St. Patrick’s Day. As it is one of my favourite holidays, I knew there was no better place to celebrate then by tubing down the Nam Song river.
Tubing in Laos has become a very popular activity where essentially, you float down the river in an inner-tube and stop along the way to drink on the shore. Just be smart and responsible if you decide to visit. People go a little buck wild and make stupid mistakes.
As I did last year, it seemed only sensible to share this video again.
And that wraps up my 5 videos of Ireland. I hope you have a safe and wonderful St. Patrick’s Day full of luck and Irish cheer. Please remember to drink responsibly.
Had you seen them all? Or was this your first time?
Are you a fan of Guinness?
