Dharamsala, India – Tibetan Refugees and Quiet

It was our goal through all of India to make to Dharamsala (McLeod Ganj) in the north of India. After a long journey by buses and train, we made it. There we discovered a peaceful Tibetan community in the Himalayas. We took the time to relax, admire the view and help some locals with their English.

  1. This is great. Part travel narrative, part history channel, and great imagery. I’m still blown how well you can upload HD video. Peace, Phil

  2. Phil’s right: your ability to upload such amazing HD video from all the corners of the globe is insane! Great job.

Also, Dharamsala was an amazing place…..next best thing to Tibet itself. There were places that offered such solitude and the kindness from the Tibetans was truly overwhelming at times.

I would recommend to any visiter to offer their time and volunteer while there. There are so many organizations there willing to accept help in so many difference capacities, even if only for an hour or two, as the Tibet Hope Centre does with its English classes.

Thanks for this awesome insight to a truly special community.

  3. Now this is a place I could visit, Brock, and quite enjoy myself. I’ve heard so much about the Tibetan people from Darren, that I feel to be in their midst would be a very energizing feeling.
To be around people who are truly KIND….nothing better!!!

  4. This is one of my dream destinations!!! What a gorgeous place. I got goosebumps seeing the Himalayas. How cool that you helped a Tibetan practice his English. Too cute!
