Got to go to Chiang Mai – city and Golden Triangle in Northern Thailand for the incredible landscape. You should also visit the area of the Gulf of Thailand for its incredible beaches. Enjoy – now the challenge of not knowing the language of the locals will begin.

Lindasy and I are doing a bike tour in Chaing Mai that takes you to some old ruins and its suppose to go by this one place where they make these really cool silk umbrellas or something. Its a half day adventure so the bike ride around should also be good! Should be able to take in a bit more of the sites visually instead of riding around on a bus tour!

This is NOT your average “I’m a tourist and want to sit on an elephant & get my photo taken” sort of trip, though that DOES happen! The elephants are well-cared for because YOU get to learn to care for them! Feeding, bathing in a river,stream, and riding bareback (none of those heavy, painful contracptions that most places put on the elephants’ backs. It was a remarkable experience.
In Bangkok, Khao San Road (http://www.khaosanroad.com) is a nice place for backpackers to stay because there are a kazillion affordable places to choose from, it’s near the Grand Palace and many other sites and has lots of resources of what to do & where to go, all catering to a backpackers’ budget.

@Larry – I completely agree Larry. I was thinking the same thing, that I need more sights. Backpack With Brock was without his camera for a few days but now has it back and is filming again. It’s just a matter of filming these sites without boring you all.

Yeah, exactly. It wouldn’t bore me at all. I do understand your only 1 man though, lol. All the taping, editing, posting online etc. would be alot of work. But video of all the amazing landscapes and different sites with a voiceover would be very cool.
