I LOVE the social atmosphere of restaurants in much of the mediterranean countries. It’s so open and thriving with energy. There are so few places in North America where this energy is captured.
PLUS: I love those times when us, as foreigners, attempt to utilize the local language and get responses in our own language! Sometimes it’s just quicker & easier, I guess!
@Darren – I hope to find some of that energy back in Canada. And even with the responses in your own language, its no reason not to continue in their language. A good way to learn.
