The Friday Five – Airplane Etiquette

So you’re on a plane and the person beside you grumbles when you climb over them to use the washroom. Annoying? Yes!

This week on the Friday Five, I’ve got 5 tips you can use to prevent those flying with you from despising you!

What tips do you have? Leave them in the comments below!

  1. How funny is it that you posted this video today… Today on CNN they had an article called “Air Rage: Is Reclining your Seat a Right?”

I am seriously considering writing a post about this… I can barely stand a 3 hour flight without my seat reclined let alone a 15 hour flight. As far as I am concerned, the seat reclines, thus I will recline it (cautiously though – making sure those behind me don’t have food/drink or a laptop out)

What do you think about this Brock?

  2. Brock,
Sounds like you are experiencing a bit of flight fatigue! But you are correct.
Some of my pet peeves are
    1. People smelling ~ whether it is b.o. or perfume/cologne (for those like me who have perfume sensitivities) or alcohol oozing out of pores – had this flying home from Prague uhhhh

    2. People taking up more than their own seat ~ legs, arms and elbows in other people’s seat area or falling asleep and starting to lean on you.

    3. People who can’t sit still ~ always up and down ~ getting things from upper compartment ~ get your stuff and get settled as much as possible.

I will keep your points in mind when the family travels to Akamal.
