Venice, Italy – The Sinking City on Water!

Venice is famous for being the city built on water. Yes. Very cool. Practical? Maybe not. Not only is the city slowly sinking, but the population on average is growing older and older as all the young people move away. Understandably too. I’m never bored, but a few hours walking along the canals, I was done with Venice.

Get there soon, before is disappears under the water!

  1. Too funny. Tyler found this one very amusing. Brings back memories. And I never found that Venice smelled even though other travelers complained about the smell. ? ? The train was an adventure all on its own. Sleeper train is an oxymoron!

  2. I laughed so hard at your Aunt and Mom with their luggage! It is amazing how many people lug their suitcases to and from the train station. You are right about the prisoners walking across the bridge for their last look! Good listening skills Brock. Looks like you had amazing weather in Venice. Wish I was back there.

  3. @Teresa – Yes, Venice didn´t smell of urnine like everyone said. Strange. That sleep train was a VERY big expception to the rule. I promise.

  4. @Kim – Yes, the weather was hot and great. I´ll admit though, I´m not in any rush to get back to Venice. Within a few hours I was bored and I´m NEVER bored.

  5. @Mal – Yes, them carrying their luggage had me in stitches. I promise I offered to help but alas, they were determined to do it on their own. Magic!
