Vientiane, Laos – NGOs and UXOs

Tubing down the Nam Song in Vang Vieng was a riot but my body needed a break – not to mention a good shower. It got both of these things when I arrive in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. I was greeted by the awesome Sami and Saara, who offered me there spare room for a few days. I enjoyed some great conversations, learnt about the issues with UXOs (Unexploded Ordnance) at COPE and enjoyed some Canadian food?
Enjoy!

  1. How did you know these people? Must have felt like a palace after all the other accommodations you’ve had. I’m sure it was nice to have some “back-home” style food.
