I’ve learned about Auschwitz for years, but to find myself standing on the grounds of a camp that took so many lives was nothing I could have prepared for. I’ve never felt such a cold silence. The guides did a fantastic job of tactfully sharing the story of Auschwitz and informing the visitors more about the atrocities that happened there only a few decades ago.
In this video, I would like to share with you some of that experience at Auschwitz and hope someday to, you will have the chance to visit and learn more.

The world must never forget what happened.
What a profoundly moving experience it was to visit Auschwitz. There is a such an atmosphere of reverence and remorse. It is so hard to get one’s head around the atrocities that took place here. The silence is eerie, not even a bird or cricket!
My dear acquaintance, Eva Olsen survived this place and I always marvel at her personal sense of calm, peace and love. As a young teenager, she lost her whole family except one sister. She has no hate, no anger, no bitterness. As she says, if I did, then I would be no better than them.
