When I set out on my own trip around the world in 2010, I knew I had discovered something I was extremely passionate about.

Travel.

As I traveled from place to place, exploring different countries and cultures and meeting so many incredible people along the way I was constantly reminded that I had made the perfect choice by deciding to backpack for a year. Everyday I was learning something new about the world around me and about myself.

I knew that in some form, beyond having a travel blog, I needed to make this a substantial aspect of my life and career. It was in a tiny grocery store in Nice, France that my friend Mindy and I first realized how I could do that.

When planning my trip I looked everywhere for someone who could take me through the process of putting together my adventure. A person who could make sure I was taking care of everything, bounce ideas off of, help me save money and leave prepared for pretty much anything.

Throughout my trip and still today, I constantly receive emails from people who have found my blog and have questions. Slowly the pieces started to come to together.

Through a great deal of brainstorming, planning and some soul searching – I narrowed down what I wanted to do and focus my energy on.

So today, October 10th, 2011, I am beyond thrilled to launch my newest project and business venture:

Backpack With Brock Adventure Coaching

Hooray!

In short, I will provide one-on-one coaching for people planning their own extended trip and adventure.
Through this I hope to encourage those who would like to head out an explore the world but perhaps feel it is too overwhelming or far from reach.

I’ve had two clients so far: one who finished his trip and the other who is in the process of planning her 6-8 month adventure.
So far, So good! The concept works!
