Exploring Croatia: A Day in Zagreb (Video)

Croatia, a country that offers up everything from booming cities to jaw dropping nature. My second and most recent to the eastern European country with Croatia Tourism had me kicking of the adventure in the capital city of Zagreb.

After a day to overcome the jet lag, we set out on a walking tour of the city to get a taste of some of it’s best features and learn about some of it’s culture, food and traditions. It doesn’t take long to realize that Zagreb is home to incredible architecture. All around the colours and textures of the buildings had me snapping away. As well, the streets were bustling with people. Zagreb is alive.

My visit, along with fellow bloggers Captain and Clark, Bohemian Trails and Kirsten Alana, was to explore the advantages of visiting Croatia in the off season. As a result, we had a cool fall day to walk around and enjoy the sights. Even in October, the sun was shining and it was warm enough to wear just a light jacket.

Some of the highlights of our day were sipping coffee on the promenade (one of the trendiest things to do on a weekend), spending time at the Museum of Broken Relationships and admiring some of the beautiful churches throughout the city. I hope you enjoy the above video for a look at what Zagreb looks and feels like. As you can see, I certainly enjoyed it there!

Huge thanks to the tourism boards of both Zagreb and Croatia for helping to make this visit possible and welcoming me to their beautiful city and country.
