International Women's Day

Celebrating International Women’s Day With Amazing Women Travel Bloggers

International Women's Day

Happy International Women’s Day everyone! A day to celebrate…women!

Keeping with the theme, I’d like to put the spotlight on some of my favourite solo female travel bloggers who, like me, work hard to make this blogging lifestyle their bread and butter.

That said, there are a TON of ladies travelling the world and sharing their stories. I’m sure I’ve left someone out (my mind is telling me so) but know you’re loved whoever you are. There are ton of other gals I’ve yet to meet or get to know so if you’re a female travel blogger reading this – reach out and say hi! I’d love to get to know you through 2012!

Ok, let’s go:

JODI ETTENBERG : LEGAL NOMADS

Jodi EttenbergThe first time I met Jodi, my heart melted. What she lacks in height, she makes up for in personality and love. Every so often you encounter that person who is so full of love and compassion, that makes you feel so peaceful and positive. That someone is Jodi. Her energy is infectious and she listens as if you are the only one in the room. Her blog, Legal Nomads, is top notch and her passion for food shines through (she loves to eat).
I am a better person for knowing Jodi Ettenberg.

ANDI PERULLO DE LEDESMA : MY BEAUTIFUL ADVENTURES

ANDI PERULLO DE LEDESMAWhile I have not had the pleasure of meeting Andi in person yet, I’ve got a smile on my face every time we connect. Her adventures she features on her blog truly are beautiful (check out the photography) and she exudes a certain je ne sais quoi. She’s classy and while she did get hitched this past year to her Argentinian love, Andi is definitely still an independent woman! I look forward to when our paths cross on this magical journey.

EVELYN HANNON : JOURNEY WOMAN

Evelyn HannonIf we are celebrating women, Evelyn must be included. I’ve met Evelyn here in Toronto a few times and she is the mother of all travel bloggers. Her calm demeanor and wisdom run true and deep. Only a few minutes in her company will have you feeling so very optimistic and driven to do your best. She’s been writing & blogging for years and inspires women of all ages, from all around the world to get out there, travel and explore.

CAILIN O’NEIL : TRAVEL YOURSELF

Cailin O'NeilCailin. Cailin. Cailin. This girl is one of a kind. Full of energy and always on the go, Ms. O’Neil works hard and plays hard. The time I have spent in her company has always been a good time (often with a drink in hand might I add). Always looking for the next opportunity and willing to try anything once, I commend Cailin’s passion for what she does and dedication to doing her best.

And there you have it folks: four fantastic ladies who are out there, running their travel blogs and inspiring other women to spread their wings, venture out into the world, and be the best women they can be!

But wait…while I dedicated this post to women who run their own independent travel blogs – I can’t NOT throw some respect to some of my other favourite travel blogging gals who just happen to have a co-pilot!

SOOOO…sending huge love to:

Tawny : Captain and Clark
Sofia : As We Travel
Deb : The Planet D
Nicole : Traveling Canucks
Caz : yTravel Blog
Elise : Positive World Travel
Giselle : Mindful Wanderlust
Shawna : Get Up and Globe
Liz : Pause The Moment

You ladies deserve some extra special kudos just for your ability to put up with those boys you are continually travelling with! (Sorry guys! I kid, I kid!)

Take some time to visit the above blogs by clicking the words in blue and show them some love by leaving a comment or sending an email!

I am very fortunate to have so many remarkable women in my life (Hi Mom!) and while we celebrate International Women’s Day, I hope you too will remember to appreciate the women around you every day of the year.

Yours Truly,
