Lhasa, Tibet Pt. II – Nunneries and Debating Monks

Continuing my enlightening journey through Tibet, it is part to have Lhasa. In this episode we visit Sera Monastery to watch monks debating in the courtyard then make our way to a nunnery for a different look at Tibetan buddhism.

  1. Oh my gawd! What a special post! Your blog videos are turning into some incredible travel insights to places so many people know so little about!

One tip I’d like to pass on to other travellers: if you can create a trip to Tibet, I highly recommend doing whatever you can to do so through a Tibetan operated tour group (I beleive the Chinese government still requires you to be with a travel agency/group in order to enter Tibet). There are Chinese tour operators. I encourage you to ensure you’re with a Tibetan group and your trip will be simply unforgettable.

  2. @Darren – And in addition to that, if you are considering a trip to Tibet, do not hesitate to contact me directly for the contact info of the company I went with.
