During our 10 day during through Tibet, we knew that this day was the climax of it all. At 5200 metres above sea level, Esther, Selma and I climb to Mount Everest base camp. Every exhausting step was worth it when we made it to our goal and looked up at the highest point on Earth.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen any better pictures of Mt. Everest. Were you just lucky that it was so clear? Lovely as the prayer flags are, they sure are noisy. What do the yaks survive on? I didn’t see much green.

@Mal – Even with the amount you work, I think you’d be pretty out of breath too. The air is SOOO thin. Yes. The pork was gross.
@Grace – Apparently we visited at one the best times of the year. It was so clear. Even more so in the morning. The yaks are herded around Tibet grazing on the little bits of grass they can find.
