Quite funny, this was a discussion some of my colleagues had over a few beers as we touched base after surviving the first week of school. Traveling in Europe this summer was fantastic but I did find the night trains very challenging. Also, once landing in our destination city, the task of figuring out the transit system (in yet another foreign language) in this new city so we could get to our accommodations at times was a bit of a challenge. But by far the challenges paled in comparison to the great experiences.

@Teresa – Yes, there are many things you’d never thing you have to deal with and figure out but at the end of the day, it is all worth it because you get to see and experience some fantastic things and places.
@Darren – Good points Darren. While it is hard to say bye to locals, they can really maximize your experience in a place, especially if you only have a day or two.
