That right there folks is beautiful Venice at sunset. The sun was slowly setting on my last day in Italy’s sinking city when I snapped this photo.
Last week I posted the above photo on the Backpack With Brock Facebook page with the following statement:
Everyone always asks: ‘Where would you LOVE to travel to?’ Today, let’s switch things up. ‘Where WOULDN’T you want to travel to?’
I’m going to say Venice. Been there and I have no desire to return. Your turn!
The comments came flying! People responded with everything from: Saudi Arabia, San Francisco, India, Scarborough (which is near Toronto. Ha!) and of course a few questioning how I could say ‘Venice’ was a place I would not return to.
Perhaps it was the ridiculous number of people, the terrible food or the fact that very quickly every little alley started to look the one before and the one to follow. I enjoyed almost everywhere I’ve travelled to but, Venice at sunset even, just didn’t do it for me.
That being said, I did manage to use my Venice Italy video to look at the good aspects of the infamous city.
Of any question I’ve posted on the Facebook page, none have garnered as much activity as the above question. We all love places but we all LOVE to dislike places too.

NOW…
As March begins a number of things will happen:
> In North America students will have March Break (a week off school).
> Easter is coming.
> And best off all (especially for us Canadians way up in the north) spring/warm weather is right around the corner!
Tourism in the Northern Hemisphere will be booming once again.
For all these reasons, more and more people will be taking some time to travel and take time off work.
Whether they booked their trips months ago or are waiting to snap up one of the last minute holidays that pop up this time of the year – people will inevitably be travelling.
So, I want to bring that popular question I posted on the Facebook page over to the blog.
As you think about where you might travel in the coming months, I want to know where you definitely WONT be travelling too this year.

Not to worry…there are no wrong answers. Everyone has different likes and interests. Heck, why not stir up a little controversy.
